TWO SEWING MACHINEs

Ronny Lukito, came out with the idea to create and produce bags with only two simple sewing machines that could fulfill the need of adventure activity. Then, EIGER was born and introduced.

Further step was taken at a small garage of 600 m2 room with two sewing machines by the time Ronny was 19 year-old. By buying a bag and breaking it down, it has presented what to be the blueprint of EIGER backpacks. Two skilled tailors summoned to study the blueprints and make a finished product out of it. Figuring out the best construction and materials to be used; they tried to reconstruct the blueprint from various materials, tearing and reconstructing bought-products such as jackets with many other various materials taken from multiple objects.

1999

collaborate with the world

EIGER Global Development Network was started. A collaboration was held with many experts from Vietnam, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, South Korea, France, Germany, and USA.

2016

EIGER goes tropical

Tropical forests are the central nervous system of our life on earth which can be a fascination for outdoor enthusiasts. It offers opportunities for adventure activities. We officially present EIGER Tropical for you passion of adventure.

black borneo expedition

An extreme expedition and exploration journey undertaken by EIGER’s Team. This exploration aims to identify the characteristics of the jungles in Kalimantan which incidentally known as the second largest tropical rain forest after the Amazon forest.

2021

music for adventure

A movement of EIGER concern for the environment which was made in the form of a compilation album with 6 musicians. All profits from this album will be donated for Orangutans’s Conservation in Central Kalimantan and East Kalimantan.

Sustainability PROGRAM

Eiger committed to start a sustainability program by recording and measuring the contribution that EIGER has made in its care and protect for the environment. This stated in the Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) Report which will be presented annually through a press conference
